Palak Paneer-Spinach Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized onions, finely chopped
  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Kripa Turmeric 
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Kripa Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 400g spinach blanched and pureed (optional)
  • 200g paneer
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt to taste
Methods
  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Sauté the ginger and garlic pastes and onions till golden.
  2. Add the garam masala, turmeric, cumin and coriander powders and sauté for a couple of
    minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes and allow to cook for about 10 minutes, until a thick gravy forms in the pan.
  4. Add more oil if necessary. Make sure the mixture is well cooked and releases the fragrance
    of the spices.
  5. Add the spinach. Cook only for a couple of minutes and switch off the heat. Add salt to taste.
  6. Dip the paneer cubes in hot water for a few seconds, and then add to the spinach mixture.
    Serve hot.
