Camphor

Camphor is a white, crystalline substance with a strong, aromatic odour. Camphor is obtained from the wood of the camphor tree (Cinnamomum camphora) or synthesized from turpentine oil. It is native to China, Japan, and Taiwan and has been used for centuries in traditional medicine and spiritual practices.  In Ayurvedic medicine, camphor is known as "Karpuram" and Chandrabhasma (moon powder) and is used for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties.
