Corn Starch Powder

Corn starch powder is a fine white powder made from corn, which is a cereal grain that has been cultivated for thousands of years in the Americas. It was first used as a food ingredient in the 19th century and has since become a common ingredient in many processed foods.  In Ayurvedic medicine, corn starch powder is sometimes used externally as a cooling and soothing agent for skin irritations and rashes. However, it is not a commonly used ingredient in Ayurvedic remedies.

 Corn starch powder is generally safe for most people to use. However, there are some potential contra-indications to be aware of. People with corn allergies should avoid corn starch powder, as it is made from corn. Additionally, inhaling large amounts of corn starch powder can cause respiratory irritation and should be avoided.
