Green Tea

Green tea originated in China over 4,000 years ago and is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Today, it is also cultivated in many other parts of the world, including Japan, India, and Sri Lanka.  Green tea is known for its unique flavour and aroma, which can vary depending on the variety and growing conditions of the tea leaves. It is also one of the least processed types of tea, which helps to preserve many of its natural compounds and nutrients. Green tea is a rich source of antioxidants, such as catechins and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which have been shown to have a wide range of health benefits.  In Ayurveda, green tea is believed to have a cooling effect on the body and is often used to reduce inflammation and promote detoxification.
