Nagkesar

Nagkesar, also known as Mesua ferrea, is a tree that is native to Southeast Asia, particularly India, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. Its name is derived from the Sanskrit word’s "nag" meaning snake and "kesar" meaning flower, due to its snake-like appearance and fragrant flowers.  In Ayurveda, Nagkesar has been used for thousands of years for its medicinal properties. It is believed to have astringent, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties. Nagkesar is used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat a variety of conditions, including diarrhoea, dysentery, menstrual disorders, and skin diseases.
