Pistachio Nuts

Pistachio nuts (Pista or Pistacia Vera) are believed to have originated in Central Asia and the Middle East, with Iran being the largest producer of pistachios today. In India, Pistachios are widely grown in the northern region, especially in Jammu. During Indian festivals like Diwali, Pista dry fruit is often served as an auspicious offering to the guests with a salt seasoning, to make it taste even better.   In Ayurveda, pistachio nuts are considered to be cooling and nourishing to the body. They are used to treat conditions like dry skin, constipation, and nervous disorders.
